TIMES AND TIDES

Time stops and waits for any man -
Tides wash away the common ground.
The Raven has broken a wing...

Biased though the game may be -
You have to face reality.
The end is at hand now...

The Raven was born with a sting
           in its tail
           You know if you fail
           Nothing else will avail:-

                      (okay so you win
will you please let me in
and i'll never correct your mistakes
the path that you lead is
                      a long one indeed
but i'll follow wherever it takes...)

Though Time and Tide wait for no crowd,
The blood of war is much too loud.
The Raven will land with a knife
           in its throat
           So depart in your boat
           You'll survive if you float

And the Past is a welcome companion;
But the Future is too hard to see -
Did the sky soon become
Such a prize to be won
That you had to destroy to agree?

Should I search through the blackened continuum
And destroy all the roads to the Past?
Is it worth all the pain
To remember again
The Love that no War can outlast?

The world is your oyster
But will you never see
All things that glitter
Don't tell the truth.

Time stops and waits for any man
Tides wash away the common ground
Goliath has fallen...

The Raven has said
           With a hole
           in its head,

           "The conflicts are certain
           The future is dead
Is there no taste of Power Or Glory?
           Life's turned rotten, right down
           To the core,
The land is left tattered and gory -
           The sea has turned RED
           To the shore...
Don't bother to sum up your courage
Don't look back to see what's been done
Just gather up what you can salvage,
Turn your back on your senses
           And run."

It's all forced upon us
Until the day we die;
So when Freedom calls us
We don't reply...

           (okay so you win
so you know of my sin
and i promise i'll never return
but i'll rot in my grave
           till the prophets are saved
and the true history is relearned...)

Time stops and waits for any man
Tides wash away the common ground
But don't talk too freely -
The Raven will see that you don't.
