Think Round Corners
Or: I've got an imagination and I'm not afraid to use it!

Thank you for enrolling on this course -
And welcome to the world of mental sport.
Leave your scepticism there at the door -
Here's where the art of inspiration's taught.

Take your imagination for a run,
Ponder on the view from behind your eyes.
Catch a fleeting glimpse of the midnight sun -
Sneak up on a memory by surprise.

Think round corners, bend your brain,
Listen to the colour of mortal fear.
Stretch your flabby insight without pain -
Taste the bitter fury in a jester's tear.

Send all your cynicism into the wild,
Let down the barriers of space and time -
Reboot the wonder you enjoyed as a child;
Give your inner vision triple overtime.

Think round corners, bend your brain,
Stretch those saggy neurons in your skull.
Ponder pixies prancing in the morning rain
Skipping to a tune by Jethro Tull.

Conjure up a world in the palm of your hand,
With mountains and rivers and seas of blue.
Contemplate a creature living in this land -
That individual could well be you.

Capture disbelief at the point of death,
Turn it to desire for the joys of love -
Paint it with the whisper of a child's first breath
Then send it loose to soar up to the stars above.

Think round corners, work that mental tackle -
Massage those synapses - stretch and strain.
Listen to the joker with his laughter maniacal
Enjoying the absurdities of life and pain.

Thank you for your efforts, I hope you found it fun
Tell your friends to come and join our workout crew.
This was only thinking lesson number one -
There's plenty more imagination still to do!
