A TOAST TO THE QUEER OLD DEAN - Reviews (Compiled from LYRIQ issue 74)
A fitting tribute indeed. A couple of hiccups along the way but otherwise excellent. Well it tickled my muckle chuscles. (J. Mann)
I glaze my arse to you (oops shouldn't it be "raise my glass"?) for this superb effort, and as it happens I do spoonerise subconsciously all the time, even though I'm no relation to the Reverend. Strange, isn't it? (N. Spooner-Harvey)
A very clever piece with some brilliant spoonerisms. I'm sorry but could you please explain "No doubt you hay already have murdered me". Am I right in thinking it should be "No doubt you hay already have meard'f me"? (J. Brett)
(Try No doubt you May already have Heard of me! - P. W.)
"A Toast to the Queer Old Dean" was very clever and very amusing. (M. Pazdzierski)
This would make good reading at a poetry slam. I enjoyed it much more read aloud than at first reading, clever. (J. Thomas)
