I DRINK, THEREFORE WHO AM I…
I think I thought I said I knew –
I wonder why I bother
I think I’ll have to think again
of this, that and the other.
I wonder why I thought I’d said
I thought I thought I knew,
But after having second thinks –
I haven’t got a clue.
The only way to solve this is to
wear my thinking hat –
In all my waking thoughts I never
thought I’d think of that!
A drink or two might help me through
this cogitative crisis –
(Hmm. The only word that rhymes with that
is Gastroenteritis!)
To summarise my thoughts of late
might help my concentration –
To think I nearly understood
The art of meditation.
But thinking about thinking never
solved a single clue –
I drink another think might help
me work out what to do…
…
So after all is dead and sun,
I drink therefore I’m drunk –
I’ll have to soon admit I can’t
Remember wot I thunk.
…
I wonder why I wonder why –
Another (hic) drink to you –
I drink to think the bottle dry –
... a rinky tinky doo ...
Of course, I know the answer now –
It’s easy when you’re drunk.
I’m far too pissed to write it down –
My brain has done a bunk!
