This is an interactive story based on various dreams that I have had.

It is unfinished at the moment, (and will probaably always be unfinished) but I will add to it as often as I can.

It is is not an adventure game, in that there is no specific strategy involved, or solution to find. But there are several ways through the story, depending on which choices you make at the end of each page. The whole story is based around dreams, and dreams within dreams, and attempts to ask the age-old question about the nature of reality itself.

I have written poems about dreams before; you may want to take a look at a couple - the whimsical Cautionary Tale and the altogether darker piece The Dreamer of Dreams before tackling this piece.

As in the film "The Matrix", the idea is to blur the distinction between a dream-world and what we call reality. In the film, Neo is given a choice; the red pill or the blue pill? Of course the viewer watching the film has no choice but to follow Neo's decision as he takes the blue pill and descends down the 'rabbit-hole'. Here though, you get a chance to make the decisions yourself and see what the alternatives are. Who's to say that if Neo had taken the red pill, that he would have lived his life out in the Matrix world, unaware of its total fabrication? Everything has to come to an end, and he might well have found that the dream would end eventually, only for him to wake up in yet another reality at the point of his eventual pseudo-death in the Matrix?

So...

Take the plunge, or return to what you call reality?
