THIRD EARTH PROBE LANDS ON MARTIAN SURFACE
The latest probe sent from Earth to Mars has been allowed to land here unhindered today, becomg the third to land successfully.
It came to rest on Utopia Planitia, close to a Martian scientific outpost but still at sufficient distance to avoid any crisis should our presence be discovered by the Humans. It is also useful for us to have an Earth probe this close to the outpost since it makes it easier for us to keep an eye on it.
This probe, as with the one preceding it, has itself been probed by our scientists and noted to be absolutely sterile - a sign that the Humans are aware of the possibility of microbial cross-contamination and have gone to great lengths to avoid it. This was a dominating factor in our scientists' decision to allow the Humans to continue exploring our world relatively unhindered.
