NUCLEAR EXPLOSION SEEN ON EARTH
Mercurian astronomers today saw an explosion on the surface of the Earth which they insist was "from a nuclear source".
The explosion was not visible from Mars as it was on the far side of Earth from our viewpoint, but our Mercurian counterparts had an excellent view of the event and have sent us detailed reports and visual recordings.
The fact that the explosion was of a nuclear nature is worrying and suggests that there is a major conflict in progress there, as explosions of this type are rarely natural in origin. We have trained our best telescopes and electromagnetic receivers on Earth immediately, and are now attempting to decipher the cacophany of information emanating from the planet.
Radio information from Earth has been apparent in the last few years, but until now it has not been deemed important enough to be of interest. However, the explanation of this recent development may be forthcoming by careful analysis of the signals, which appear to contain information transmissions from the dominant species.
