COMET ON COLLISION COURSE WITH EARTH

A small comet has been found to be on a direct collision course with our neighbour Earth, Martian astronomers have announced.

Designated ("Tunguska" - Martian name untranslateable - E. Herring) it has a 98% chance of striking Earth on date 3006.11908. Since the inhabitants of Earth have not yet developed any significant means of planetary communication, there is no way we can warn them of this potential catastrophe, and as far as we know they are completely unaware of the danger. We can only hope that the casualties will be few.
